New physician to join our practice.
Unfortunately, we will be losing one of our physicians
in May 2010. Dr. Van Winkle has decided to pursue specialized training in the field
of allergy/immunology. He will be GREATLY missed, but we all wish him well.
With this news, we would also like to announce the arrival of
a new physician at Carolina Pediatrics. Dr. Melisa Bates will be joining our practice
in July 2010. She completed her residency at the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill and is very excited about joining our family of physicians.
We look forward to her arrival.

no show appointment policy is as follows:
Appointments need to be cancelled within 1 hour of the actual appointment time or it will be considered a no show appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late for an appointment and the physician feels that he/she cannot get you worked back in, they have the option of considering the appointment a no show. With the first no show you will be sent a letter advising you of our no show policy and will be charged a $10 fee for missing a sick visit and $20 if you missed a Well Check.
With the second no show you will be sent a letter advising you that this was your second no show and that you have been charged $25.00 for that visit if it was for a sick visit and $50 if you missed your Well Check.
With the third no show our physicians have the option of releasing the family from the practice. You will also be charged a $25 fee if you missed a sick visit or a $50 fee if you missed a Well Check.
***Each appointment made is one appointment slot, so if you have more than one child scheduled for the same day and you do not keep your appointments then each appointment slot is considered a no show appointment.***
HELMET THERAPY FOR PLAGIOCEPHALY
If your child has had helmet therapy for plagiocephaly and you still have the helmets please donate them to other patients in need of therapy. You can bring your helmets to our office and give them to either Cindy or Sue in our referral department so that other patients may take them and get them reshaped to fit them personally due to insurance companies not covering the full cost of the therapy. If you have any questions please call our office and ask to speak with Cindy or Sue. Thanks for helping out others!!
